Preston West Primary has documented the Department of Eduction's required eleven Child Safety Standards as set out in the new Ministerial Order 1359. All parents/volunteers must have a Working With Children Check (WWCC) to assist at school in any capacity e.g. Guided Reading, Fresh Fruit Friday, excursions and classroom assistance. Please see the office staff to check validity of parent WWCC.
The Child Safe Standards set out to create safe places for children to fully and actively participate in the life of the community benefitting everyone. Preston West Primary School will ensure that the children in its care are protected to the best of its ability and in line with their duty of care and the compulsory child safe standards.
